Joining St Erth School
We’re always delighted to welcome new families to our school community!
Children starting in Reception join us full-time from September, and applications for these places need to be made during the autumn term of the year before they are due to start.
We also welcome in-year admissions, these can happen at any point during the school year, depending on availability.
If you’d like to apply for a place at St Erth School, you’ll need to complete an application form through the Cornwall Council website, where you’ll also find all the information you need about the admissions process.

Once your application has been submitted:
- If there’s a space available in your child’s year group, the Council will offer the place and notify both you and the school.
- We’ll then be in touch to arrange a start date and help you and your child settle in.
- If the year group is full, the Council may ask us if we’re able to go over our usual numbers, this depends on the circumstances at the time.
- If a place isn’t available, you’ll have the right to appeal the decision.
