Staying Connected with Our Families
At St Erth School, we really value strong partnerships with our families and love to keep you involved in school life as much as possible. We use SeeSaw, Arbor Parent Portal and email to keep you up to date with your child’s learning and to share important messages. You’ll receive both individual updates and group announcements straight to your phone, helping you stay connected with what’s happening in class and across the school.
Every child is also given a Reading Record book, which is a great way to keep track of reading progress and to communicate with your child’s teacher. Please check it daily for any notes or messages, and feel free to use it to share any information with us too. A quick initial lets us know you’ve seen it.
To keep you fully informed, we send out a weekly newsletter every Friday. This is shared via emai and also posted on our school website. You’ll also receive additional letters when needed, for example, about school trips or special events. At the start of each school year, we send home a general permission slip for local visits, so you won’t need to sign a new form each time. Permission slips for trips and residentials will be sent through the Arbor Portal.
Sometimes we may need to contact you directly, especially in an emergency, so it’s really important that we have your most up-to-date contact details. If anything changes, like your phone number or address, please let us know or update it via the Arbor Parent app. We send home a data sheet at the beginning of each academic year so you can check and update the information we hold.
